From beach restaurant to three stars
Mauro Uliassi opened his restaurant on the seafront in Senigallia, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, in 1990. Over nearly three decades he slowly transformed the unassuming beach restaurant into one of the finest in the country, earning his first Michelin star in 2000, his second in 2009 and his third in 2018 – eighteen years after the first.

Uliassi is a genuine family business. Mauro runs the kitchen alongside his sister Catia, who serves as maitre d’, while his son Filippo is the sommelier.
